Per an article on Reuters.Com DuBois Regional Medical Center made their top 100 list of hospitals that provide the best value to their patients.

“These are the hospitals that set the bar for the nation when it comes to value. If every hospital performed at the level of the Top 100, we found that more than $60 billion per year could be saved,” said Hal Andrews, CEO of Data Advantage.”

Good news from The Courier Express today. Although their circulation declined by 2.9% over the first 9 months of the year as compared to the previous years, they reported that this is far better than the national average of  10.6%. This is good news for Courier fans, but a testimate to where the industry as a whole is when a decline in business can be perceived as a positive.

We wish the Courier the best as it is a central part of the Dubois area and hope its sales improve in 2010.
