In November, 2002, Karen Cadori began scrapbooking just as a hobby. Her interest in scrapbooking quickly grew beyond the bounds of being "just a hobby," however, and she decided to get into the scrapbooking business by opening The Scrapbook Nook in DuBois in November of 2003.
The major deciding factor for Karen to create The Scrapbook Nook was due to the amount of time and distance she spent traveling when she first started scrapbooking. Many of the supplies she needed couldn't be found at local stores such as Wal-Mart and Jo-Ann Fabrics, but were far more common in stores located in Butler. After so much time and effort were expended on traveling, Karen made the decision to open the specialized scrapbooking center for the Greater DuBois area.
With the idea of simplicity in mind, The Scrapbook Nook features almost 50 of the over 600 scrapbooking supply vendors in existance today, including (but certainly not limited to) SandyLion, Karen Foster Designs, EK Success, Colorbök, Mrs. Grossman's, Fiskars, Leisure Arts, and many more.
In the past, The Scrapbook Nook has done and will continue to offer their services for children's birthday parties, Girl Scout meetings, and children's classes. The Scrapbook Nook is also proud to introduce Scrapbooking Camp for children ages 8 to 16, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. And coming this November...adult classes! These classes provide everything from materials to basic and advanced page layouts.
Also coming in November is the One Year Anniversary Blowout Sale. Taking place Monday, November 1st through Saturday, November 6th, selected items in the store will be offered at prices of up to 50% off!
The Scrapbook Nook also features monthly contests, gift certificates, fundraisers, in-house custom scrapbooking, and so much more!
